I have the sweetest boyfriend ever! He took me to Seattle and Seaside, Oregon for Christmas. This is the first time I've been to the Pacific Northwest and it is so pretty! I envy all of you who grew up out there. What a wonderful place to be. I generally associate palm trees with beaches and not evergreens but the beaches are beautiful and not overcome with that dreaded sun all the time.
When we went to Seaside he showed me where the restaurant was in the Goonies and Haystack rock then we went to Astoria and he showed me the Goonies house. Seriously, I was awestruck.
What was even more fantastic was Powell's Books. OMG, I creamed myself, I could spend a week in that bookstore. He bought me books about the library (one's copyrighted my Melvil Dewey himself); there's nothing better than books on books. Well, maybe hot hotel sex... on books.

I'm about 80 miles north of Seattle. But if I'd known I could meet you I would definitely make the trip down.
