I just confirmed the deep down discomfort I have towards my biological fathers side of the family. I've never had anything to do with them and I never wanted to. I stumbled across my dad on Facebook, his wife and my (I'm not claiming her) stepsister and wow, they are incredible in a horrible way. They seem ignorant, closed-minded and I don't even feel like I would have anything in common with them at all and I wish I could shed their genetic material from my DNA. I'm sure they would see me as "wicked" because of what I do and what I like to do. Good thing I have a tendency to trust my instincts and think for myself. Sorry about the negativity, but it's not so negative, I'm glad I'm not a part of their lives.

I can relate, I am also very distant and very polar opposite to my paternal fathers side of the family, they are just different to me, still care for them just not part of my life. So be it

He's your father, but you don't have to " love " who he's with.
