So I won the up do competition at school, and they are paying for me to enter a national competition. YAY!! And I graduate on Wednesday WOOOO NO MORE LONG ISLAND BEAUTY SCHOOL!!!!! So pumped for that, although I have no idea what I'm going to do at night. And I'm going to miss my girls. Crazy, crazy bitches.
I'm getting a chair at the salon I'm at, which fucking rocks. Buuuut...
Nick, who judged the competition, owns another salon that my friend Lauren works at, and he was impressed with my work (which, honestly, I didn't think I was doing that well with hair until this week.). He told me he wanted to open his salon on Sundays, and he was interested in hiring me as a stylist.
DILEMMA!
I make better wages at the salon I'm at, but they make better tips at the other one.
One of the girls just quit my job, but my boss hired another stylist, and I'm not sure how I can build up a clientele, but then I feel guilty for leaving my salon, or even working part time.
They offer amazing classes and I really should be trying to better my skills, and I know my job isn't really offering that, except for the occasional Paul Mitchell class (because we finally stopped using Color Charms..bleh!).
Maybe I can try and work both places, but I hope I don't burn out. Ah well. And I was also just told that Goldwell offers free cutting/color classes by me, so I'm going to have to start going to those. Sweet!
Aside from that, my life pretty much revolves around hair. Woo.
