This past January marked my 10 year anniversary as a Suicide Girl and it has taken me down a wild ride! I wanted to recap all of the adventures, leading up to my newest South American trip where I shot my latest, and probably last set, by Frani. That set will go into Member Review later this month. For now, let's take a stroll down memory lane. There is no way I could fit everything into one blog, so for today how about the first few years ;)
In December, 2003 I shot my first set for Suicide Girls with Missy Suicide in my best friends Hollywood apartment. I remember it was in December and we shot at dusk, so you could see the sky changing colors in the window throughout the set, and by the time we ended it was night. I was actually really nervous! And I honestly thought that the set would be my only one, little did I know that SG would become such a part of my life over the next 10 years.
About 6 months later, Missy and I shot this next set in my old Atwater Village apartment:
Sometime in 2005, Gogo made her first visit to Los Angeles and we got to hang out in Sean's hot tub:
We also shot a set together while she was here:
It has been amazing to see Gogo evolve as a woman over the past years. She has always been a bombshell, but has continued to become sexier and more powerful.
I remember it was that night in the tub that Sean discovered I had already been working with cameras in film production for some time. They had just finished the first Burlesque tour DVD and were planning the next movie in Italy. He asked me if I wanted to go and shoot and of course I said yes. That trip in Italy still feels magical to this day.
I made some friendships on that trip that still apply to this day. Especially Albertine and Manko, we just recently collaborated again in Europe last year! I also got to work with Cherry and Mike Marshall for the first time, and we have gone on to do many SG projects together since with a great artistic bond and real life friendships... stay tuned for those adventures in the next blogs ;)
