Hello boys and girls! Lots of the sets that I have shot have gone live lately. Please check them out HERE and show all of the ladies some love!
I almost done with the movie I have been working on. Only 3 more days out of a 30 day shoot. This is a much smaller production than the last flick I worked on, but much more responsibility. It was my first job as the KEY camera assistant. And luckily so far all of the footage is in focus and none of the cameras have broken. (I am knocking on wood). I hope this one wraps up smoothly.
Here are some pics of me on the job courtesy of our stills photographer Monika and our gaffer Keith Dunkerly.
Zoom lens on sticks- streets of Melrose, rolling the camera:

Waiting, waiting. We do lots of waiting:

Talking to the D.P. (I heart her. She is from Poland):

Playing with the camera at a cafe:

Changing lenses (Grabbing the walkie button on my shirt to call for a lens):

Me and one of my babies on a crane:

Measuring distances again (Probably asking the actress where the F she is gonna be during the shot):

I love this shot for some reason. It is me and the Steadicam operator. He is from France. He is one of the greatest people ever:

Yep:

So there is a piece of what I do when I am not shooting hot, naked ladies. It's a different Sawa than the one you see on SG. I'm not trying to look all hot at work. Just there to get 'er done. When I take a look at my life from a birds eye view I feel pretty lucky. I do what I want. I was having a conversation with some folks the other day about what would we do if we weren't doing this. I couldn't think of an answer for awhile. I am doing exactly what I want to be doing. Then I finally remembered that if I wasn't doing this I would probably volunteer at a zoo or an animal rescue. Maybe that's what I'll do when I retire: Go around town taking stills and hang out with animals.
Is it Saturday yet?
