dear Lord, grant winslow a safe journey. protect him and those around him. in your name, i pray. amen.
last night, i sat in on one of my friend's baha'i study sessions. a good percentage of my friends are baha'i and i don't really know much about it. it was definitely interesting. be expecting me to write more about my discovery of this new religion. it just seems much more universal than catholicism. breaking out of my religious shell, i suppose. the act of being open-minded is far closer to godliness than cleanliness.
i guess i oozed japanese today because when i was doing some lonesome grocery shopping today, this japanese kid in a baseball cap came up to me and started talking in his native tongue. i kindly told him in japanese that i didn't understand him and he had this shocked look on his face. but that didn't hinder our conversation at all. it was a sight to be seen. a little japanese boy and an island girl trying to have a conversation in the middle of the cereal aisle. his family said goodbye to me and all is well. i have new friends who somehow think i understand japanese.
my sister and i had a conversation that lasted quite awhile. it's rather strange considering neither of us are hardly home and sometimes we could go a week without seeing each other. the complete opposites sat on the balcony and talked about our troubles and the go-ons with our lives. complete opposites, i tell you.
by the way, the trip to the dark side has been cancelled by my boss. "i'm allowing the hole in the face but not black hair". shit fuck.
long long long.
paper on vegetarianism is due within several hours and i have nothing to show my professor.
wa-wa-wa.
