Today is for Jake. RIP.
The boys are playing a show and getting hammered, in your honor tonight.
Here's to you, buddy. Lots of respect and admiration.
This rounds for you.
Cheers.
Ok, on a less somber note.. check this out. Over the last week I've been running an entire department by myself, have managed to not kill the little girl masquarding as a co-worker, and broken an all time record of ad volume. So in a shocking turn of events, the company actually bought me flowers to say thanks. Which was an amazingly surprising gesture and reallly quite touching. However... in an ironic twist of fate, i came into work today, and notice that my keyboard is upside down and dripping water, my mouse is unplugged and dangling hapazardly (sp?) off the edge of my desk, my gigantic pile of ad copy that was stacked in orderly chaos on my desk the night before, was piled in a nice neat stack (gasp) in my in-box (of all ridiculous places, haha) and oh yeah, did I mention my ad copy was water logged to? Turns out the cleaning people the night before, accidently knocked over the vase of flowers (that the company bought for me, don't forget that....that's the ironic icing on the proverbial cake) and drenched my entire station. How funny is that? Not funny haha... but well... yeah, funny fucking hahah............ anyway- so you know what's weird? I talk to you guys more then my own close friends during the week. Either that says something about my close friendships...... or gives credence to your coolness. hahah.. Ok well, I should stop rambling and deal with my dripping wet ad copy. Thankfully most of the stuff on my desk, was actually ad proofs. So the ad's have already been built, and are safe and sound in our database, thankfully just needing to be re-printed. I know that this is ultra fascinating to you guys... but I warned you yesterday, that until they give me the green light to start writing again (in May- GOOO May!) I'm gonna be up on this here soap box quite a bit.... *ahem* clearing throat.. tap tap tap *testing 123*
Jake, here's to you. *raising glass*
