First things first. I gotta give out the best news of the year so far (erm... quite). Last week i had a joint with Sebastian Bach! Wow! Such a teenage idol, such a kind guy! I stumbled into him backstage and he was skinningup one, so i told him i may have better weed, and we ended up having one together! Pinch me, cause i still can't believe this really happened. I mean, he is Seb Bach! The Man! The Voice!
So, all dreamy from this bit of news, i'll tell you all about the Evolution Fest, a new music fest that took place last week over here in Italy. First: the setting. It was awesome, inside a stadium by the lakeside. You got a bracelet when you'd enter, so you could get in and out all you wanted. During the couple of so-so bands that played the Fest, you would see the lake (Lago di Garda, to be precise) filled with metalheads. With no swimming gear. LOL.
Then: the music. Awesome! Some artists you rarely see over here, liek Orphaned Land from Israel, or Nightwish, then Sebastian Bach, Lordi, and so many more. Music was fantastic.
Here, have sme pics.
This is the setting. Wonderful mountains behind the stage!
HEAVY METAL! Pentacles, devil's horns, some vampire-looking guy... ahhh... paradise.
I love this trick: in one pic, there's the band's name, the guitar player, and between hsi legs (quite literally, even if on different background/foreground scales), the drummer!
LOL, look at Lordi backstage, quietly waiting for their moment to play. Please take notice it was a hot Summer afternoon. They were probably melting inside.
I couldn't leave them alone, i thought. So i went there and molested the keyboard player and that mummy that is the guitarist!
I also stumbled into the singer, which was pleased to meet me cause i was the one that, during an interview, told him that LORDI in italian means "filthy, totally dirty". It fits so well with the band's image
The keyboard players is so hot, ain't she?
The MAN.
Bach is clearly crazy... he climbed like 20 feet from the ground, just to get a good sight of the ample audience!
Obviously, the crowd appreciated his antics. here's a flag made by his italian fans. Telling him we love him. Oh yeah we do.
Well, hope you liked the pics.
I am enjoying this "time off life" right now. No more interviews to do before August, the kids i babysit are on holiday, i get some time off the ambulance work, and so basically i am home suntanning naked on the balcony, listening to the Harry Potter audiobook (yeah, i love reading, but i got this off the net... so i can't complain! LOL), and sipping sangria. Life is peachy, this time of the year in Italy!
Cheers!

Sounds like a lot of stuff happens around Lago di Garda, eh?
Remember, I looked it up on the internet, and thought the shape of it was quite funny. Do people ever joke about it?
There's no way I'm naming any names, dude. You trying to get me kicked off the site or something?
I just saw a couple of irregularities that, in all probability, are nothing, but that nonetheless made me start thinking of this idea.
Ciao.
