I CAN GET LOTS OF MMM... MMM... MMM... MMM... - SATISFACTION!
In the last few days, i got some very neat satisfactions out of life. let me pinpoint them to you, attaching the photo evidence, so you can call me a showoff. But really, when you are lucky enough to get these strokes of luck, it'd be criminal to keep them for yourself. And all in all, in a way, i can also say that for some of these strokes of luck, i worked smartly and kinda "deserved" them. in a way.
ok, no, i am just a lucky asshole.
- Tonight i went to see GARBAGE. wonderful setting by the lakeside, i got in with a photo pass and took some cute photos, and the band was on fire. we were also treated to some impromptu songs, just cause shirley said we were a deserving audience. shirley also said something TO ME from the stage, but you're not gonna believe this, so i'd better skip this part.*
Here's a nipply pic of her majesty.
- A couple of weeks ago AMEN were in town for a show with Sick of it All (a GREAT matchup!). Well, i got to met their singer Casey Chaos, the legendary Casey Chaos, and presented him with the issue of my magazine with him on the cover. I wrote that article. So it made me 200% proud to take this photo of him holding the magazine. Then he signed it for me, that's what i like doing as a collection: getting autographs on magazine covers that i wrote the stories for. I am so damn proud of this pic, Casey is one of the "most true" people in the rock scene. he's an idol.
- A friend told me that a pic of me could be found on a punk magazine ("Rocksound - Speciale Punk"). Curious as a monkey (and as self-loving as Narcissus) i got the magazine, and lo and behold, there's a live report of the KILL ALLEN WRENCH show, and in the main concert photo, you can see medoing some wild fingerpointing! LOL, i love this candid pic of me! Usually i am the one taking pics, so i rarely feature in candid ones. One for the keepers, then. Thank you, "rival" magazine!
- I took this photo during the weekend. It's so wonderful in its SG-ness, don't you think?
- *(continued from the Garbage story...). Ok, since this is a bit of a showoff, i can't deny you this bit of info about the concert. After a few songs, Shirley got talkative and was interacting with the crowd. Then, all of a sudden, my heart sunk. Cause she was pointing in my general direction and said: "Hey you, i recognize you! You're one of the first fans we ever had in Italy! I remember that you came to wait for us under the rain after an interview at a radio show! We took a photo and you looked SO CUTE with your hair all wet! Then we met again some tiem ago and we took a better photo. Yes, you're a journalist now, and i hope you only said good things about our interview, i know sometimes journalists can be very bad gys. But you are so cute, i am sure you only said good things."
Mmm. Believe it or not, this is what she said. And, she was talking about me, that finger was pointing in MY direction. The woman got some good memory, eh.
Here's some evidence to back up the story: in 1997, i did wait for Garbage outside Radio Rock FM in Milan. it was raining. The photo came out blurry and i kneecapped the photographer because the pic, all in all, sucked.
Fast forward to 2005, i get to meet Shirley again, this time in a hotel room because of an interview. I take a pic with her, and before it, i tell her the story of our previous meeting, and i show her the blurry pic. She asked me if she could keep it cause it was funny. So she got that old pic. i thought she'd, like, rip it apart and throw it away the moment i walked out of the room... turns out she kept it, i guess? She was frigging talking about me tonight, and she picked my face in the crowd (well, i was at the barriers). Oh my god. I gotta find a bootleg of this show, or you people are not gonna believe me.
i am gonna mark out now.
goodnight, peeps.

PS: -question- go back in memory lane, and tell me which was your luckiest moment ever? one of them, at least? some fond memory of a lucky stroke?
saying things like "Lago di Como, where we are tonight, is the place my parents went to for honeymoon, so it's likely i was conceived here,

I sawSick Of It All with 7 Seconds last year and they were incredible.
Society 1...
They were there, but I missed their set.
They were first on one morning on the main stage.
Probably quite a diverse crowd to say the least
