Ohhh... call me a happy puppy! Look what I was given yesterday: a BUNCH of cds, including the new Dropkick Murphys one. No, not the b-sides compilation. The new one. The one coming out in JUNE! And by golly, it's very good! Can't be as good as "Sing Loud, Sing Proud", but really it's got very fine music on it. And a hardcore song.
I can't tell much more than this I guess, just wait for June 20th and buy it. It's worth it.



Then i was also given the HIM dvd. That's outstanding too. Five hours of video material, all the videoclips, 25 live songs, hours of interview, discography, fancy pics... well, i stopped liking HIM after Razorblade Romance, but i have to say this is an impressing dvd. I'll give it 4.5 out of 5. And Sixxette, dont' worry, i'll lend it to you next time we meet. not tonight cause i stil have to watch it all, but next time. So let's meet again soon, eh! The festival season is about to start after all



Then, uhm. Other stuff, a tribute to Mano Negra featuring a lot of cool artists, including Ska-P, a cheap-ass cdr copy of the Joe Perry solo cd (it sounds good, so far!), a cover-album of italian pop songs from the sixites remade in a punk way, and some more stuff. The new Turbonegro too. But i will listen to it in a few days. Not the biggest of fans, let's say.

One more thing about a HUGE cd that's coming out these days: the Nine Inch Nails one. Sorry peeps, but i find it fucking boring. Can't wait to read what Kerrang and all the major metal mags will say about this. I've listened to it 3 times so far, and i only found a couple of songs i like, but the rest are just dire. Slow, too experimental, boring. But very well produced. What a shame.

(and i am in deep shit, you know? cause i have to review this cd for a major music mag here in italy, and lots of people, including the editor, will want my head for disliking the "second coming of the messiah of rock". mmm... HELP!)

For all the people who said "liberation" is a good song... check the lyrics of MY fave song (well, the lyrics are cool, but it's the music that gets to me anyway).
