It's here!!! Probably the cd that i was anticipating most in this first half of the year (ok, i know, the system of a down cd will be coming out in may too!)
I've already listened to it three times, i can give you a short overview, no one on the net has talked about it yet
So, well, good old wed went metal all the way, with this solo project. Some songs are pure genius as usual, all lyrics are amazing (right now my fave ones are those for "bad things" and "elect death for president", with catchy choruses like "i hope very bad things will happen to you!" and "red, yellow, black or white, no matter what, you're all going to die!"). sadly the central 4-5 songs are so.so (including the title-track!), bit too metal and not creative. but the rest is always genius, and his voice is always amazing. i am undecided wether to give it a 7 or 8 (out of ten).
oh, and here's another funky cd:
Brand new candlemass, with a cover like that, it was made to be signed not that, admittedly, i care too much about doom metal, but it was cool to fill up those blank spaces with some scribbling by the singer and guitarist of the band
ok, in other related news regarding our jobs:
- s was sick and was not able to smuggle peat from latvia today. let's wish her a prompt get-better-soon
- p spent an interesting evening playing poker... with a 5yo kid and his 11yo brother. and dam,they were decent players! isn't it amazing that a five year old kid can understand poker and play it on a decent level? i haven't been playing poker for AGES, and now all of a sudden, i get to play it with kids. oh, don't you all worry, we were using candies as currency. and i ate some of my currency during the game, so in the end i was almost losing the tourneament cause i was eating out my gainings. LOL. (so, well, in case you don't get it yet, yeah, i do babysit too sometimes)
so, all in all. good enough day. i hope yours was too. relaxing and nice and filled with music! i got wednesday 13's new cd, so surely my day was better than yours, musically

Your idea of doing a set in the cemetery with all of the gravestones bearing my last name is a great one! I wish I could fly to Italy entirely for that purpose (and of course, the aformentioned gelato alla nocciola.) I'm sure my parents took a few pictures, but I was 18 at the time so they are probably pretty tame. I've been racking my brain trying to think of a creative and unique idea for my photoshoot, but I haven't come upon anything nearly as unique as your suggestion.
I'm excited for you about your new CD. Yay!
