Today is my red balloon day !
Happy birthday to me!
I celebrated the birthday last Sunday, my friends made me the cake above, and me and s. cooked this for them:
chimichanga! Mexican beans! Mexican Spicy Rice! mmmmmmmm!
Me and friends were very happy.
and that was my humble-but-much-fun birthday party.
wish me a good entrance in the era of a number 3 before my age...
now, let me also show some pics of a party i went to in hungary in mid-august... a party at the delicious house of SG Melitta. it was awesome! thanks again melitta! and happy birthday to you melitta, we share the birthday day!!!
it was a cooking party, something we don't have in italy: you invite people and THEN you start cooking. in the meanwhile, you drink a lot of alcohol. in italy, the moment around the dinner table is the focal point, so usually the host cooks in advance, and we spend lots of time around the table. i loved knowing this different tradition in hungary. we cooked for almost four hours, to get all the onions to melt, and then to be able to cook the meat!
(yes, meat... melitta is a proud non-vegetarian! LOL)
so, the party was filled with male models (think hansel from zoolander), underage flamenco dancers, german actors, an sg, some french guy, an anthropologist from england... i am afraid us italians were the most banal people out there
none of the girls was drunk. no.
still NO drunk girls. but the guy in the background, perse, didn't want to appear in any photo. i say it's cause he thought photos would steal his soul. LOL.
finally, towards midnight, the meal was ready... an excellent hungarian meal!
towards the end of the party: perse was not covering his face anymore, s. was drunk, a french guy was stealing our alcohol, there was no alcohol-free liquid in sight...
oh my god... so much fun... i feel like today i am celebrating my twentieth birthday! i feel goooood!
ciao!
