Fuckin YEAHHHHHH WOOOOOOOOOOOO
http://suicidegirls.com/members/Calista/albums/site/14149/ "Exam Cram" feat. Calista
Not that I'm less unhappy about being robbed and camera-less, but I can't frown on a day like today.
1) Calista's set is up (see above.) Hopefully it'll make all of you smile, too.
2) I'm procrastinating on a photo-restoration (see #3) by editing Misa_'s upcoming set. A lot of geek, a little retro, she's gonna be mad at me about the colors..... but it's going to be soooo awesome!
3) I took in a restoration job for a customer at work, but after the first hour I took it as a personal challenge. The print is circa 1955-1960, and is on that paper with the raised dots almost like they use for traction on T platforms. It had been creased almost to the point of tearing clean through, and there was some sort of weird water damage which cause these purple spots of varying (usually high) opacity. It's also a little blown out in the foreground. It's a picture of the customer as a baby, being fed at the kitchen table by her mom, who has since passed. SO: I have to straighten colors, draw some detail out of the highlights, and redraw faces and arms from under the purple, without disrupting the raised-dot pattern. I've run on too much about it already, but long story short, after eight hours' trial & error, I think I have the fix. Maybe another two hours to fully execute, but even ten minutes made a world of good.
4) It's friggin' gorgeous out and I have friends who throw Bastille Day parties.
Alright then. Go, love the new Calista and then enjoy the sunshine

Oh hey, how is the insurance stuff going? My tattoo sure is sore. I have another session on Aug 14th and hopefully my last one on Aug 27th before it's finally finished!
