Goodness, where to begin?
Well, the other day some jackass kicked in my door and stole my photo kit. Just grabbed the whole bag-- camera, lenses, flashes, flash cards, a backup drive, etc. That's about all they took of mine-- they were going for my PC, but it looks like they were interrupted (our guess is the FedEx guy rang the doorbell and they got spooked.) Really, they could've taken ANYTHING else and I wouldn't have cared. Luckily I'm insured, but I don't know if it'll cover everything. And since I got laid off from my awesome job and have gone back to being a picture framer/ remover of ex-fiancees/pseudo-webmaster, I shouldn't even advance myself enough for a new body and lens or two. They also jacked my old cell phone, which still had most of my contacts, so feel free to call me and give me your number (possibly again.)
Relationship troubles, again--I just can't do casual, I guess. I'm either with a girl or I'm not, and if I am with a girl, then she's with me, and just me. I don't lock my significant others in a closet or anything; I just expect that if she's not sleeping next to me, then she's in her own bed, by herself. And if she's not, I'd at least settle for some honesty. Seriously, if you're doing something you can't talk about, and it's not a surprise party, then you need to really stop and think. Ah well. At least least this time I have half a shot at doing the "just friends" thing. The last ex is two time zones away and only e-mails me when she can't remember her anti-virus info.
On the bright side, my arts-admin friend has decided to start selling some of my old work. She's taken it upon herself to counter my tendency to slack at self-promotion, and bless her for it. I'll let y'all know when and where it'll be on sale. I've also got a couple new photo projects in the works, an illustration gig or two, and one of my Hopeful friends has an awesome idea for a new set which I hope to help put together in the near future. I've also decided to be a graphic/web designer when I grow up. So, that's progress, right?
