It's finally the end of the week.
I've made some new additions to the apartment and have been trying new things. As always I've been super busy and super tired. Daily living really draws a lot out of my day. I need to learn how to plan better. I think that would save a lot of my time (especially limit my trips to the store).
Recently I made the following purchases for the apartment:
Costco was selling this item for 48.99, but I managed to score and nail this for 39.99. It came with the little dipper, for fondu and dips! It's 6qrts, came with a serving strap, a serving spoon, and a cookbook. Awesome deal.
Target: 39.99. This was a great purchase from Target that included a ton of awesome features for a steal. Prepares up to 16 cups of cooked rice and keeps it warm for up to 12 hours
Steams vegetables and cooks rice simultaneously and makes soups and stews
Easy to use digital control panel has multiple features including white rice, brown rice and steam/cook
Nonstick inner pot offers easy cleanup Water reservoir channels away excess condensation Aroma Family
My Phillips 1000 Watt surround system/DVD player fried a couple of weeks ago. We had it set up, literally, for about 2 hours in the apartment before it nose-dived. WTF.
So I then purchased this from CosmisComputers on Ebay. (They were great, btw. I fully suggest you check out their products. Sweet. Sweet Deals.) I nailed it for 66.95, as a free upgrade from 5015 from the seller.
You can hook it up to about anything (TV, DVD, Game systems, Computer, etc., etc.,) and the sound is VERY impressive. We have to be careful since we live in an apartment. Jesus.
Finally, the boyfriend contributed to the awesome of the apartment, by purchasing (dun dun dun) this badboy:
Which he managed to snag an extra wireless controller AND 300 on blu ray for free with the purcahse of the PS3. (It was a deal that frys was doing, but Best Buy honored it to get the sale. NICE.)
Tonight: I will finally have the chance to play this:
ALONE, with my boyfriend, as for the past 2 days we have had friends dominating the apartment with MK vs. DC showdowns, thus forcing me to hide in the kitchen with my new gadgets. I'm hoping to be able to grill up some burgers, enjoy time with the beau, play some rad video games and drink tons of wine. WORD.
and this for Xbox360:
PS: I made peanut butter pie and pumpkin spice bread last night for the first time and they were A M A Z I N G.
WTF. I CAN COOK.
