I've been insanely busy with lots of stuff lately. I'm so fried, but mid-July, a lot of projects will be coming full circle. I feel really productive and am going to be happy seeing all this come to completion.
CLUB HELL has had a couple great events thus far, and we're developing a really diverse following and having some great parties. July 8 will really showcase the music end of what we've envisioned with the club. I know a lot of people won't be coming out *just* to see DJ Thermal Detonator and Pierrorist, who we're bringing in from Los Angeles, but I know everyone who does come out with appreciate our intent to provide the best industrial dance music in town. I'm really excited to have them come out -- it's sure to be a great time.
I'm working on putting together a really unique event for August 12. More details will come soon... As much as I'd love to spill the beans now, you'll just have to wait and see. We're also working on a CLUB HELL/Cosmic Sea joint production to bring back INFERNO for a one-off party at the end of August. This is likely to be an 18 and up event, and will be much more musically diverse, with me spinning lots of dance rock and electroclash, a couple techno and trance DJ's spinning darker, harder stuff, and the best EBM DJ in town... Again, stay tuned for details.
I'm almost done with the EMESIS full length. All the music is completed, the vocals are done for all tracks but one, and two tracks are completely done (and up on the EMESIS myspace page). I have a couple labels that are interested in hearing the final product for consideration for a vinyl release, and several labels have expressed interest in a CDr or CD release. I'm looking forward to the completion of this album, that took shape last fall and was showcased during the THIN THE HERD performance at the November Sadisco* with Android Lust and Sang Rael.
I just finished recording a ton of material. The "Endless" and "The Devil Will Find Work" full lengths by Clew Of Theseus are nearing completion. I just finished a 40 minute track for "The Devil..." that takes a lot of the ambient textures like those found in the ambient track on the split with BSD and the opening track on my first full length and mixes it with the synthy spaced out harshness like that on my live 3", "Clue Of Thesis." It ended up reminding me of a collaboration of Bastard Noise doing their ambient stuff with Stimbox collaborating. But it has that characteristic Clew dark, haunting sound. I also laid down a deep, trembling ambient track that comes in at about 14 minutes.
I also completed "Sunless Hell" a track for the Bastard Noise collaboration I'm doing with them, "Our Earth's Blood 4". This collab also features sounds from MSBR and MAGMAX (final recordings before Koji died), Merzbow, Sickness, Guilty Connector, Government Alpha, and more. This release will likely end up taking 3 discs to contain the SKULL. There's also a special Clew song for that release that reveals my appreciation for their impact on my sound. I've gotten to hear 4 complete tracks that Wood has sent me, utilizing my sounds, his and other collaborators. This release will make its mark for sure.
I've also completed my Clew Of Theseus business card CDr for Audiobot in Italy. Lots of cut-up sounds and shifting tempos on that one. The full release of my first full-length is going to be coming out on Cipher Productions in Australia later this summer. It's been years, and there's only 10 copies of the artist's edition out there, so I'm happy that this release will see full circulation. I have a third of the collaboration with PCRV finished, and will be completing that next. Next up is a split with T.E.F.!
A long-running project that's gotten shelved for the time being should be coming back very soon. CME has some recordings we did last year that were remixed by John, and we're going to be recording more soon. He's going to be putting out a 7" on his label when we're done, later this year.
And last, but certainly not least... I'm moving! This weekend! As much as I hate moving, I'm so excited to be in my new place. I'm going to be right downtown in a beautiful, big house. The living room and family room on the first floor is big enough to accomodate some smallish noise shows, so I'll be having some there from time-to-time. I'm also going to have a full studio set-up on the second floor, so I'll be able to record more regularly. I'm going to be living with one of my best friends, and it will be so nice to have that time with her. I'm so sick of driving hours every day to be able to see my friends and go to the places I like to be. But now, I'll be right there all the time. I'll get to see my dog and cat more, and have a much more relaxed life, since I won't be rushing all over town all the time. I also have John helping me move, and a couple guys who work for me, so I won't have to do it all myself or waste money on a moving company. It will be a lot of work, and I'll have a lot of furniture and stuff to get rid of and some to buy. But come mid-July, I should be mostly settled in. Just in time for my birthday! My birthday is July 21, and I intend to have a birthday/housewarming party that day or that Saturday. I took the day and the weekend off, so it's on! All that motivation to get the house all ready and settled in just in time!
I had a fun weekend. Friday night was insane. Got off work, fed the dog and headed into Phoenix to pick up the CLUB HELL flyers at the airport. Ran to the Red Door Gallery to drop of flyers there before their vaudeville/burlesque show, hit the Paper Heart, then went to the Den Of Iniquity. After that, I met up with MG, and Sarah and Cam from the Den to get flyers to them. Then I headed out to Scottsdale to Chaser's to meet up with Spyder. We passed out hundreds of flyers there. Then we went to Club Red and met up with Julie. It was really slow there, but still had full chatting with some long-time promotors, DJ's and clubgoers who showed up. Then we headed out to Faux Show at Hollywood Alley. That was a fucking blast! I'm so excited they're doing that every other Friday, and I expect to be there every time. It had all the good parts about Hot Pink - great, diverse music with an awesome crowd who was having a party and dancing their asses off. I haven't had that much fun at a club in Phoenix in awhile (save for CLUB HELL ::wink:. Julie and I hit Denny's before heading to her place. What a looooong Friday night! But it was such a blast!
I hope to have a somewhat mellow week so I can get packed up and ready to move. I'm planning on getting the essentials (bed, clothes, etc) moved on Saturday morning and get somewhat settled in and then go to the Reliquary CD release party on Saturday night. Then Sunday I'm moving everything else. Wish me luck on not pulling out all my hair!

The plot thickens as our heros stagger a half mile up the street avoiding bum fights to the fortress of doom!
Somebody told me that the Bikini had its last night with a dj yesterday, do you know how true that is?
i don't know about the bikini... you mean the last night for the bikini, or the last night for dj's at the bikini?
my, the English language and it's confusing, yet grammatically correct, possible sentence structures!
