I just wanted to take a quick moment and say thank you for all of the love on my new set, Canvas by, @cdo. I really appreciate all of the encouraging messages and comments.
I also just want to say to all of the SGs and Hopefuls, "THANK YOU!". It is so important to support each other and I see so much of that support happening that it fills me with a sense of contentment, elation and hopefulness--no pun intended on that one haha. I believe that it is so easy to get caught up in wanting to be "Set of The Day" or turning "Pink" that you forget that others might be feeling the same as you. Instead of turning your disdain into a negative point of view... we should support our fellow sisters on here. You truly never know who needs that support and hell, it could really go a long way.
It is also easy to forget that so many people are standing by you and supporting you but, because you don't feel as though it is enough.. you easily forget about that support. With that being said, thanks members on here for being there for the hopefuls and SGs.
Personally, I came to SG to build relationships with like minded people and explore my body/nudeness. I quickly forgot that in the beginning of my journey because it all turned into me worrying about turning pink. I lost sight of the connections I was making and ended up feeling pretty bad about myself when logging onto the site; as well as not really supporting the ladies here on the sight. Once again, I did not take into consideration that other ladies might be feeling the same.
Doing the shoot fest with @dk, @gaiah, @cooky, @cigno, @hunnibee, @dulceamargo, @asteria, @hurricane and @raenie about two years later was so good for me. I had the realization that I was looking at it all wrong and that I am part of a community that has so many wonderful women in it. I felt such a connection to these ladies and they truly lifted my spirits as well as the veil that I had placed over my own eyes. I was powered up and ready to jump back into this after that shoot-fest. It was so beautiful to see everyone supporting each other, laughing, dancing, helping each other pick set outfits and just... vibing.
SO... if you're ever feeling discouraged, turn to your ladies and talk to each other. Also... just HAVE FUN with this. This is supposed to be fun and carefree! So, lets act like it. If any of you ever need an ear, just give me a holler in my inbox. I'm here for ya. Self love is tricky sometimes and its so easy to compare yourselves to others. Lets be there for each other. Lets be honest about our journeys.
