To me, femininity is whatever you make it out to be. Growing up, I had family members drilling into my head what they felt was feminine and what was "unladylike" and I always felt as though that decision should be mine to make. Personally, I believe that it's all about what you feel is present when looking in the mirror or what you think of yourself while reflecting. For example, for this shoot in particular, I remember we were shooting for a while-I felt good and all but, I also felt as though something was missing. I remember reflecting with Manjuan and another model who was present and telling them that I wasn't really feeling like I was shining through and they both said, "Try that red lipstick you were telling us about earlier". I put it on and boom, I was definitely feeling much more into myself. That day I realized, you're already feminine if you want to be, sometimes it just takes a touch of a personal item of your choosing that helps you express it.
