Sorry these beginning ones are kinda a duplicate blog post but I'm making it more detailed and keeping it together so on with the story. Enjoy!
Saturday night we attended my sister's in law's 50th Anniversary party and of course took a selfie lol. We were a little late cause we were down in West Virginia prior and I met his father. Dinner was at the Springfield Grille in Ohio it was good my little niece was adorable as usual and there was no fires like there was at my sisters wedding.
After the party we went to the Boardman Mall which is huge and really popular. I found that awesome hat and took a few sexy selfies. I might have bought it but I'd probably never really wear it except for sexy pictures lol.
Jason couldn't fit in the picture with me wearing the hat so I held it above our heads lol. Also I blame the lights for why my teeth look yellow because I brush them every night and they are not in fact that yellow.
I'm dating Batman woohoo!!
I may have forgotten my sunglasses but I did remember sunblock so thank fuck for that. As it was I still got a little burnt. Just got to the Renaissance Festival and we were waiting in the ticket line which was thankfully quick.
MASSIVE sea of cars like crap there was a lot of people there it wasn't TO bad though thankfully. I hate navigating large crowds.
Parade prior to the joust of course I took multiple pictures of the horses.
Some "royalty".
Gigantic turkey leg.
Sausage on a stick. I love the giant food stuff they were carrying around. There was a gay pirate flag in the parade too I loved it. Wish I got a picture of it but I was too slow. Knew it was gay cause the skull and crossbones was rainbow colored instead of being white lol.
We rode the hippogriff after the parade. It was fun it was basically like a big animal shaped swing two dudes pushed it to get it going. Jason was talking to one of the dudes pushing it they were funny. They were saying how it was their first ye old romantic hippogriff ride.
Selfie after the griffin/hippogriff ride.
We found a knight decked head to two in armor and had to take a selfie with him. He was really cool about it too. Though I wish I was less awkward cue eye roll.
Small ass door in a tree that I made my 6 foot 2 boyfriend pose by so you could see just how small it was. No, the door did not open I did in fact try. The sign says: "There is no path to happiness; happiness is the path."
They had such cool shops were you could buy totally realistic clothing from the era. Of course it was super expensive so we couldn't buy anything but how awesome does that look?! Next year we are going to dress up.
I got my face painted with this pretty butterfly and some glitter of course. I think Jason has the other pictures on his phone cause he took one of me at the fair after the face painting. You could see it better there.
Thats all my pictures but there were some super cool things there. The food was awesome and the site was huge. I have multiple bruises on my body from trying archery and this thing called Jacob's Ladder which is a very unsteady ladder thing hung with ropes. Anyway the goal is to climb to the top and ring the bell and you get five tries. So I fell five times it was really gross cause the hay you fell in was wet and musty smelling. I got a little muddy and bloody. There was a woman dressed up as a giant bird, there was a living statue, jesters, beggars, a juggler who balanced on a barrel and a ball. He juggled fire pins and he hula hooped with fire while on the ball and barrel. There was a small haunted house thing. It was pretty cool it was short but they got me. Made me jump several times someone was even following me. I could hear the growling lol. There was jousting and sword fighting. There was supposed to be no "bloodshed" and that irritated one of the knights so he grabbed a servant and sliced his arm open and there was a big spray of blood. It was obviously fake but it was still really cool. The food was yummy I didn't eat to much because it was so warm but I did have a meatball sandwich and omg it was so good. They had beer and pina coladas as well I don't drink beer but I did get an over priced pina colada and it was perfect.
Overall it was a really fun weekend spent with my love Jason. We are going to try to find cheap ish costumes and go again next year. I hope you guys like my story and if you've ever been to a renaissance festival I'd love to hear your tale. Im gonna tag @rambo @missy and @lyxzen
Time to hit ye old sack. Goodnight fair folk of the magical land!
