Yesterday, I did my usual saturday lounging-walking-cooking routine. This involves spending a large part of the morning in the tub, then taking a walk to buy groceries, then cooking all afternoon. I made (1) sun-dried tomato and onion bread, (2) fresh corn chowder with roasted jalapenos (3) fresh peach ice cream. All of it was vegan, all of it delicious. I'm not sure if I have what it takes to be a real vegan, but if there's one thing I do have, it's versatile cooking skills.
That concludes the food portion of my entry. Now I will talk about books.
I'm currently reading Jeanette Winterson's Art and Lies, and I am really liking it. It's sharp and smart and surrealist. We went on a spree at the local used book shop last weekend, so I now have a pile of books to get through, including The Razor's Edge and The Age of Innocence. And and and... kenn bought a Philip K. Dick book that I want when he's done with it.
I think the plan for today is to go buy some BDU's and visit Poobah's for used CDs.
