It's 3 o'clock in the morning, or maybe it's four. No, it's three. Point is, I'm not sleeping. I really want to be sleeping. I'm not. Sigh.
So. A few months ago I was finishing up my final project, a powerpoint presentation on the recent riots in Tibet, and I came across an interesting tidbit. The people over at Coca-Cola, one of the largest EVER sponsors of the Olympics, had decided that maybe they weren't so into the idea of sponsoring the Olympics in Beijing. Perhaps those motives were less than pure. Whatever. Point is, kind of an amazingly symbolic move, on the part of that particular giant corporation. Too bad they didn't make it. The move, that is. Nope. Backed down. Really. What hugely successful corporation can afford to pass up that sort of advertisement?
I don't drink a lot of Coke. Nor do I watch television. So I was unaware of this particular advertising strategy. Imagine my nausea.
Um. Ew.
In other, less tragic news, this is what the sun has looked like for the better part of the past two weeks.
And this is a very pretty slug with whom I made friends, one evening.
I'm moving in with Marge, tomorrow. I'm terribly excited. I wish I was asleep, right now. It will be much easier to move if I'm awake. Gosh, I'm full of interesting things to say. I'll stop talking.
Peace.
