When I was 21, I spent 10 days in a psychiatric unit at a hospital. I had voluntarily signed myself in. Truthfully speaking, I went there to detox because I was at the peak of my drug addiction during this time. It wasn't until I was surrounded by people who were actually "crazy" that I realized life wasn't as bad as I thought it was. Although I was diagnosed as a manic depressive, (BP II), I'm greatful for the time I spent there and the people I was able to interact with and observe. I am not ashamed to share this story with you guys because I really don't give a fuck if you decide to pass judgement on me. I am currently reading Girl, Interrupted and it has me thinking about the time I spent in 2B and the things I was able to learn from everyone I met there, staff and patients alike. THANKS FOR LETTING ME SHARE! much love <3 xoxo Sarabi_
