Hey guys! This weeks SG blog homework is "Tell Us A Love Story". Well, I'm leaving this open for interpretation so I'm going to tell you about my beloved dog who's name is Heidi! I grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn in a two family house where we were not allowed to have a dog. I can remember writing letters to Santa and the first thing on my list was always "a puppy". When I was 11 years old my family packed up and moved out to Long Island. Right before we moved, my dad had brought this cute little puppy upstairs and I was playing with her in the living room.. she was so precious and I remember looking at my dad teary eyed saying "I wish we could keep her". To my surprise he said "We can! She is your puppy now!" I was at a loss for words. I had never been so excited in my life. I finally got a puppy! I took her everywhere with me! In fact, my first memory with MY DOG was when I brought her into my old room in Brooklyn and she was trying to make herself a little bed and fell behind my bed into a small crawl space. It was the cutest thing I had ever seen and picking her up out of there and holding her like a swaddled baby was when we instantly bonded. Fast forward to now, Heidi is about 13 years old but still has a lot of pep in her step for an old girl! To this day she sleeps with me every night and whenever something needs to be done with her my family always calls to me! Heidi will never bite a person but she especially would never even bother to try and fight with me when I clean her ears and give her baths. We share a true bond. She has the most incredible personality for a dog and when I look into her eyes I feel like I can see into her soul! (SIDENOTE: she is so camera shy!) Heidi is always by my side and she was definitely my first experience of "love" besides my family telling me they love me every day! I feel like a mom when I say it doesn't matter how old she gets because she will always be my puppy! Thank you to @missy , @rambo , and @lyxzen for always providing awesome topics to blog about that constantly make me reminisce about when I was younger! So once again SG community, THANKS FOR LETTING ME SHARE! xoxo Sarabi_
