cool snake! make sure you take good care of him

I loooove snakes!

i have trouble feeding them even pinkies though, so would make a terrible snake owner.

I saw my grandfather get bit by a corn snake. Poor snake was in the corn bin when he reached in (they had a farm). It was HUGE. I just remember him telling everybody it was a corn snake, no worries, but by then it had slithered away, so people were scared it was something else, and we were all waiting around to see if his hand swelled up, or he started having trouble breathing, etc as we were miles & miles from a hospital.

OH! btw, this is a stupid little fact I found when looking for photos:
"Some books and websites will refer to the corn snake as Elaphe guttata. After extensive research by groups of scientists and herpetologists, the genus and species (binomial nomenclature) of the corn snake was renamed in mid 2004, changing the snake's name from Elaphe guttata to Pantherophis guttatus. This change was necessary because scientists found the corn snake more closely related to the genus Pantherophis than Elaphe.
