My columnist cherry has effectively been popped.
I went into the newspaper office today to meet editors, have a mugshot taken, etc. The editorial editor wasn't in, the editor in chief hustled me off in the general direction of a photographer, and the managing editor rolled his eyes and told me not to give him any headaches. Then a very awkward little asian dude took my thumbnail and told me I was photogenic...I managed not to automatically reply that I'm more photogenic with my clothes off. Must stifle evil tendencies in new work environment!
