so..i'm not a big believer in Astrology by any means. i always think it's funny when you can see people reaching so far to make their horoscope look like it's accurate and meaningful. come on, they're just stars, right? so today, i happen to see my horoscope, and this is what it says:
"Horoscope (by Astrocenter.com)
The desire to write down your thoughts on a subject you've been either thinking about or possibly even researching could come upon you today, dear Libra - even if you don't try to do any more with it than post it on an Internet newsgroup. If you've been thinking about trying your hand at a magazine article, on this or any subject, this is the time to get started. Your mind is sharp and your self-expression free flowing. Go to it! "...
well you can't ignore something like that, can you! i thought i just had to write something today...
so here are my thoughts for the day. St.Patrick's day to be exact. Can someone tell me just why we celebrate this day of Irish folklore? Outside of Ireland, and the half dozen or so Irish Americans with true, recent Irish heritage, why should the rest of us care? if it's all about honoring the Irish for a day, that's cool. but why don't we do the same for the Germans, Swedes or Japanese? can't you just see it now? Little Johnny in first grade dresses up in his Ninja outfit and shows the class his skills at writing Kanji. i guess i just don't get it... but i will admit that my ugliest pair of green socks were proudly displayed in public again this year... oh, well. see ya on St. Engebretson's Day.
