Blog, Blog...I need to blog!
I swear it's like exercise, if you don't do it enough you get lazy and forget about it. It helps when you have interesting stuff to talk about...so lets hope this is!
The week has gone along as most do, non eventful, but busy. Tuesday I have to say was the best though. I mean the day was pretty much the same as all the others but after five o'clock I embarked on a little adventure into the city of San Francisco. I went to the 111 Minna Gallery (that is really the full name by the way, and don't get me started on the pronunciation of "Minna" somehow every time I recounted my story I would get corrected at work...to this day I haven't the foggiest idea how to pronounce it, and its a 5 letter word!). They played host to an event held by Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School where basically if you have pen, pencil and a drawing pad you can come in and sit amongst fellow artist or aspiring artists, or people like me who want more art in their lives, and just draw from live models.
This particular Tuesday night was free admittance but they strongly suggested you buy a drink or various drinks at their bar...so practically guilted into drinking ( I lie, I was at the bar before he master of ceremonies even got on the mike to talk about the bar) I found myself a nice little spot and for the next three hours, lost myself in the music, the drawing, the art, and of course the model who was absolutely gorgeous.
During the model's breaks I went around and looked at everyone's art, it was a gallery after all, chatted up some people and even met a Fellow SG member, a totally awesome chap by the name of Artist By Day, obviously not his real name, I know his real name though, and if you'd like to know it, he was kind enough to let me add him to my friends list, so be sure to give him a shout out...is that how you say that? did I use that right? just in case i didn't, be sure to say hello to him when you get a chance.
Yes, the evening was awesome...I am so looking forward to next month's event....
Until then, I wait with anticipation for the weekend where I will once again go into the city to be a part of 2009's Wonder Con...what sorts of adventures will I have there? Who knows...stay tuned and find out...
For now, however, I will end this particular entry here...
