Okay, so my computer isn't quite as up as I'd like it to be. Turns out the RAM I was trying to put in was registered, and my motherboard will only take unbuffered. I only vaugely know the difference, but that's not the point. The website where I bought all my stuff didn't tell me that. So now I have to send the RAM back again and buy new stuff. I've got my crappy laptop hooked up to my monitor and bad-ass keyboard/mouse combo. That, at least, is nice.
