So, I agreed to play a bit part at our local theater. Problem: didn't tell scheduling people at work in time, and I would have to give up 6 nights of work, a.k.a. about $300. I've been wracking my brain about what to do (cause the director is a beloved ex-highschool teacher of mine), and I decided to try to find someone to fill the part for me.
Enter father. Tells me that maybe I should get off the computer and think about what I'm going to do. Like I haven't been thinking about this since I saw the new schedule a week ago. Like I didn't find people to fill in for almost every night. Like I haven't been calling people all day trying to find someone to fill in for me at the play. Enter outside voices, he tells me I should try to be considerate to the director. Like taking a bit part two weeks before opening night for I play I wouldn't take a shit for isn't considerate. The man knows nothing about what I've been doing, and he gives me shit for not doing things.
It's so nice to have a base of support when you've got tough decisions to make.
At least my mom isn't a douche.
p.s. Hyena, I returned the game today. Ethics: 0 Sticking it to the Man: 1
