Actually took public transportation to work today. Yes, in LA.
All my co-workers had the usual, "What is wrong with your car?"
"Nothing."
"Are you OK?"
Yes, I am OK. Everything is fine. I've said it before but driving in LA is like swimming in a raincoat. And even closer to the other side of that simile.
So, it was with great anticipation I walked up to the 704 line on Santa Monica Blvd and boarded the Rapid line bus. Sure, it took me one hour to go all of 11 miles from Hollywood to Santa Monica. But that's not much worse than my daily drive. Any when I got to work I was actually refreshed, as opposed to being highly agitated from the constant stopping and starting and avoiding drivers who don't drive like me.
Not sure how long I'll keep it up though. We'll see.

Haha, is public transportation in LA a bad thing?

There is a stigma attached to it. However, public perception is slowly changing. We need a Bixi service here, too!
