we live in a rural area so at night all the sounds outside can be kinda freaky. especially when you hear some strange noise and then you hear the chickens that are roosted high in the trees start screaming like they're being ripped apart. well, it's freaky to a person with a paranoid overly vivid imagination.
anyhow...the other night i heard this scratchy sound coming from the deck. so i peeked out the window and it was a tiny little baby opossum eating catfood. it was so damned cute. it looked about 8 - 9 inches long. my husband and i were looking at it through the screen door and it looked back at us with it's little beady eyes just munching away..jpg)
oh well nothing more to say....so

Oh yeah when I lived in Texas the cows would scream at night. Damn it gives me chills just remembering that sound.
