I thought of this phrase tonight because I've had a strange week littered with nebulous conversations and uncomfortable setbacks. People and I are at odds it seems. I don't think they believe in me.

The phrase means "to the stars on the wings of a pig." It was a motto used by John Steinbeck in his novels and personal letters. Once upon a time a professor told him he would be an author when pigs flew. At least that's the rumor.

I hope the pigasus flies for me.
