Guess what's on TV? The other fat orange cartoon cat. It's not Garfield, but Heathcliff: The Movie!!!
How awesome is that!
So despite the fact that I'm not really "working" this week, it's still a kind of busy week...well, for not working that is. yesterday I had to get a dental exam, and I have to go in on Thursday for a cleaning.
And I have to get my windshield fixed. I got hit by a pebble on Friday, and there's a small crack in the side. It's not big, but it's still a new car (relatively speaking after 12,000 miles in 8 months after driving it off the lot). But hey, it's still MY car, the first one I bought, and I bought it new at that. And I want to keep it looking nice. As long as it doesn't cost too much to fix (I have a $1000 deductible on my insurance to save on insurance premiums)...I've got some money in the bank, but not a whole lot...certainly not enough to cover $1000 deductible.
But I had an interesting Tuesday. I had to go to the clinic. No, not the free clinic. Get your mind out of the gutter! I I had to go see the doc about my foot. I was moving some furniture around on Monday night, and instead of taking the drawers out, I tried taping them shut. The bottom drawer slid out and hit me in the left big toe! It hurt like hell...like I stubbed my toe. But when I looked down at my toe, it wasn't normal...it was bleeding because my toenail was bent up and out of place! So I called the doc and got some guidance on what to do. He told me to come in the next morning, and we'd take care of it...Now, at least for time being, I've go 10 toes but only 9 toenails. That's right, the doc had to take it off. He used something called lidocaine, and I didn't feel a thing. I'll take a picture for you all and post it. My toe doesn't look as gross, but it's still pretty disconcerting to look at a big toe without a toenail.
This morning I tried cooking some chorizo, and it was interesting. I could find chorizo recipes on how to make it and how to use it in recipes, but not actually on how to cook it properly. I was disappoitned. I guess that if I don't get sick then I cooked it properly.
I can't think of anything else. So I'll talk to you later. Hope that you guys enjoy this update.
