You'd have thought that from growing up in Arizona, being a Scout, being a lifeguard, and just common sense that if I'm going to spend an entire afternoon in the sun that I should at least wear a hat, let alone put on sunscreen.
We had an office department meeting today at work and afterwards we played softball all afternoon. The softball was actually very fun. Yep, we can just take the whole Friday afternoon off. Last month when we had one we pretty much just had a BBQ all afternoon. Anyways, I hadn't honestly played anything like it since high school baseball. Well, I did play some for my fraternity team last year, but I stopped because I simply COULD NOT HIT THE DAMN BALL TO SAVE MY LIFE!!!!! But today I could. It was cool. It wasn't always that great, and nearly all of my basehits could be argued that they were errors, but still, it was fun. I really enjoyed it.
The part that I didn't like was when I got home and looked in the mirror and realized just how red I was and how much it would hurt. I don't think it will get so bad that I peel, and all I have to help me is skin lotion. That's right, I don't have any aloe vera. I should go to Wal-Mart and buy some. But even though I don't think I have any sunscreen I should've thought ahead and at least gone to the store to buy some. Or put some on since I think I saw some people put some on.
Oh well, I guess some people just never learn. Isn't it amazing how some people manage to graduate from college yet don't have the common sense to put on sunscreen?
