Well, I've been a right lazy bastard, haven't I?
Hardly - far too busy at work to get on with most things when I eventually get home each evening - most of which consists of eating after 8pm, showering, then relaxing to watch some TV, only to find myself waking up a couple of hours later in a funny position that I did not quite remember getting into....where have I heard that before?
The reason behind this (without going into the boring detail of my daily routine) is that we have (all but) won about $45m worth of extra business....which will treble our turnover. It was only going to double, but we've taken on a bit more work.
We're also obtaining financial backing from a different bank than our current backers. This is where I've done most of the work - boring accountancy stuff - no fireworks, no ticker tape.....just a shit load of numbers and making sure that everything balance....WOO! YAY!
This should all start taking shape (financially) in October, and the reall effects will be seen at the beginning of next year. I just hope that I get a nice fat bonus and payrise....but, the Managing Director is a notorious scrooge.....time to set up camp and make DEMANDS!!
And with good reason too....I now have someone to spend it all on
After a great weekend that went much better than both of expected in all departments, we have decided to give it a chance - despite the age difference, and the fact that she'll be at university in London - still, only an hour and a bit away from me - so, the bigger the payrise, the more often I can see her. And the bigger and better presents I can buy her
Since that weekend we've talked pretty much every night and got closer and closer.....and we're both counting down the days until we see each other next.....17 days now...
This weekend just gone I went up to visit my sister again for her fiancee's 30th birthday....just plenty of food, talk and far too much drink. I was like a zombie when I arrived home on Sunday night...
So, thats pretty much it for now!!! I'm hoping that most of the "extra" work is done now and that I can think about trying to rejoin the human race on a daily basis!!

Good you learned to deal with the ugly stuff! Am learning to deal with things now, but it's a long road so to say.... But I'm sure things will turn out ok for me! At least I think so at the moment
