Again with the plans.....
Although I've stayed in once again, I was half hoping that it would end up that way. All my friends in couples have deserted the city for bank holiday weekend, and all the singletones do shift work and were either working today or have an early start. No matter how much I hate my job, at least it sticks to "normal" hours.
Then again, by my best friend cancelling at the last minute, I've effectively saved money that I was going to spend. And I showed a little restraint by not going to the off licence and buying some more beer....
I made an effort to do some cleaning too - its hard work when you don't feel like doing it and there are so many innocent little distractions.
On the downside, I spoke to my sister. She told me that my Grandmother has been ill and placed in a care home (without my Grandad). She fell ill on Monday, and as my sister lives the closest, she kind of has the burden of responsiblity on her shoulders. My two uncles live a 300 mile drive and as for my parents, they live in Spain. So, only my sister can feasibly help out at short notice...so she was naturally a little busy and didn't get chance to phone me.
My parents on the other hand knew on Monday, phoned me on Thursday and didn't even tell me! I'm so fucking angry at them. They were more bothered about telling me about their meal and how much they'd had to drink that they never mentioned it.
She's going to be fine - I just hope they move my Grandad into care as he's a frail 80 year old and needs help with a lot of things. It'll give him a new lease of live and they'd still have some independence within the care environment.
Think I'm going to take an early one - its going to be a beautiful day tomorrow and I want to get everything done that I didn't get done today.....and spend some time in the sun.

That is a very cool dream - do I get to read this novel after you finish it???
Kisses
Hope you find somewhere suitable for your grandparents...finding the right place (especially for a couple) can be hard, but there are some wonderful ones around.
