Well you get up every morning, and you see its all the same
Its like clockwork. Oversleep, late leaving...bus was on time though. I sat most of the day just doing enough and thinking about the "surprise" announcement that was made.
Redunancies. Thankfully only nine, and all manufacturing staff. Not of the office bods are getting the chop - I was kind of hoping that I'd be offered it.
Problem is at my place is that when someone leaves, they aren't always replaced. Their job is shared around amongst various others with no added reward. Does nothing for morale. Not that there was any to start with.
Its like that really. I'm the innocent Homer and my morale, willpower, determination, life is being sucked into a gravity well.
Its not all doom and gloom though. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Its just a long tunnel, just need something faster than a spade to dig my way out!!
On the plus side, I storyboarded a couple more scenes and finalised characters. I now have a psychic secretary, a boss with an eyepatch and hook hands that spends his weekends in a cocoon, an accident prone temp, a frustrated twentysomething, and an unseen office junior that gets hideously injured in the background of every scene.
Just the start though

Redundancies? Over here in the colonies I am not familiar with the way you are using that term, old chap. Is it the same as being fired? or is it more like being laid-off?
