Well, that was totally unprofessional. I knew it would never be a "couple" of "quick" drinks. It never is, and when you end up in a late bar drinking Pear Cider on a worknight, you know you're on deadly ground....and then when you end up round a friend's house (who doesn't have work) at 4.00am drinking Jack, you are already preparing your little speech to work as some kind of glib afterthought to a night of punishment....
But, thank God I have understanding employers who have helped me through a rough period of illness from April to June already. I just feel bad for cheating them and betraying their trust.....I shouldn't dwell on it though. I'll just go in early tomorrow and work harder next week....and check my emails before I get to work tomorrow. That should get an hour of work out of the way!
And I MUST remember to pay my bills tomorrow.....yikes!

That's a great story about Tairrie, the woman in an incredible role model - and e-mailed back and forth with me when I was in a real rough spot in life. THAT floored me.
When I met her at the show, she actually recognized me from MySpace and the e-mails...and I was amazed...she has a heart of gold.
