So, it's Sunday....again.
Last Sunday, I was in Barcelona and I'd just returned from the Summercase festival early in the morning after walking to the Metro with some cool Spanish people. With my fragmented Spanish and their fragmented English it made for a staccato conversation, but we managed - thanks mainly to one of them who was Spanish from a German background who spoke very good English. The conversation was mainly about trainers and music.
Back at the apartment there was much relief from my friends who'd grown concerned as to my whereabouts after storming off due to two of them (including my ex) bragging about scoring some pills and how great it was to be high. No way was I making the journey back with them....so I just around while they were trying to hail a cab and walked around the corner.
Still, despite their relief they were angry, so I basically left and went on a long walk until they realised that I'm pretty used to walking around cities in the early hours on my own and am always able to find my way back.
Later on, they mustered up muted apologies....
I managed to largely avoid them until the end of the holiday, and when I did my dirty stopout act on the final night only sauntering in an hour before we had to be out of the apartment, I got the angry stare from my ex again as it was written all over my face what I'd been up to.....plus I was happily showing the others a picture of her.
Oh well!!!!
I'm going back next year for Primavera in late May with a couple of the same ppl I went with this time, and a few others too. Definitely my favourite city....even more so on this gloomy Sunday afternoon with scattered showers and the prospect of work in a little over 14 hours....
