Alright then.... Tuesday nights are always good times at Broadway Joe's. You can't go wrong with $.25 drafts and $2.50 pitchers.
I actually did stuff yesterday. Productive stuff. Woke up early and went to my Mom's for breakfast. She was surprised to see me before she went to work. I went to my dad's house and chilled there for a while. At about 12:00 I got showered and dressed so I could go to my friend Drew's house to help him with his website for his band.
Yeah right... last time I mad a website I was 7. It was all html. I know nothing about flash. Or flash html. Or java. Anyone know anything? Can you help me out? I really want to learn this stuff. It's pretty cool.
Ok, so then I went to the bank, and called Conor. He wasn't working, so we went to go play pool. After pool, I had to go to REBT (kinda like a drug/coping counceling thing the Army is making me do... long story... if you want to hear it, let me know). After that, Conor and I went to the mall to find a ticketmaster outlet. We were going to buy tickets to EdgeFest (day-long music festival in buffalo, sponsored by 103.3 the edge and kustomworks featuring billy idol, our lady peace, flogging molly, static x, and others). Only $35, no big deal (aka NBD!) Ticketmaster was closed, so we browsed the mall for a few hours 'til they kicked us out. AFter the mall, we went to Barnes and Nobles.
Barnes and Nobles is my favorite store of all time. Didn't buy anything, but I added to my list of things to read. Yay. Epic of Gilgamesh is next. I did, however, sign up for the book club, so I get 10% off all purchases. I'm so excited!!!!
After Barne's and Nobles, my friend Liz called and invited us to go to Broadway Joe's for Open Mic Night. One of her friends (whom I have previously met) was apparently going to be playing. Well, Conor and I got there and Kari, Ed, and Inter-whore were there. We chilled with them for a while and I played with these trippy glowing raver ball things. I thought they were cool.
Kari and the gang got up to leave, so Conor and I followed. As we were leaving I ran into Liz and her gang. I thought they were already there and left, but apparently not. Anyway, we decided to stay. Conor and I beat Dennis and Murph at pool twice. Then Josh went on stage. He was amazing. I was shocked, seriously. First thing I did was call my bassist and drummer and told them I found our guitarist. He agreed!
NOW I HAVE A BAND! A PRACTICE SPACE! I'M SO PUMPED!
I'm really happy about that, seriously. We'll be getting together Saturday.
I have plans Friday night to be a topless cocktail waitress for a stag party with Kari. $100 for the night, plus tips. And if we want to strip, even more! Ok, so it's a little trashy, but I'm desperate. The bills keep piling up, and I need money for my tattoos.
Well, I'm off. I'm going to grab something to eat, and then Conor and I are going to Deleware Park to read in the Oriental Gardens. Oh yeah, Conor loves reading. OMG. He loves philosophy. I swear, he's almost perfect for me. I can even deal with the little physical things...no one's perfect, right?
Sweet deal.
DORK.
