This is what I'm thinking right now: "Screw you! I'll have my own show!"
By "you", I mean galleries. By "show", I mean showing.
Depending on the setting, it could cost up to $1,000 for the venue alone. If I charge at the door it would have to be very low, because I would want a lot of people to want to come. It would have to be closer to Murfreesboro than to Nashville. The marketing and promotional stuff wouldn't be more than $100. But the canvases and art supplies to do enough work to merit a show would be about $300 minimum. If there were going to be food/refreshments it would run an extra $300-$500. So altogether, we're looking at about 2 grand.
Ideas on how to fund an art show?
I'm dead serious about this.
The world NEEDS to see what I have to offer. And I don't mean my breast. Although, sometimes they show up in my art.
And please, go comment on my video on youtube. Even if it is just to tell me how much it sucks.
