I don't like it when people tell you how cool and great someone is, and how you have to meet them because they want to meet you, and then you meet them and they couldn't care less and completely blow you off and even ignore the person who introduces you. Fake people like that suck.
On the bright side, I went to the Dragonfly on Sunday and was pleasantly surprised by a performance by a band called Pour Habit. They were so fun!
Today has gotten off to a strange start. As I left for work this morning, I noticed a homeless man shivering in his sleep by the dumpster for the second day in a row. I decided I would go to the thrift and buy him a blanket at lunch time. But then I got to work and one of my friends was crying because she just found out that her 18 yr old nephew died overnight, back home in Mexico. She was kind of histerical, and doesn't speak English, so I had to help her find a phone number for for the guy's 22 yr old brother's work, here in Orange County, and call him so she could tell him his brother was dead and that he had to go back to Mexico to be with his mother. She had no idea how she was going to buy a plane ticket for him so I gave her the money I had in my wallet and got some other employees to do the same. I felt good about helping my friend, but what am I going to do about the homeless man's blanket?
