What a Difference a Year Makes... by Salliss

Thinking back to a year ago a lot lately. Thinking back to how gullible I was, how trusting, how stupid, and how much that has changed me. I post a lot of change blogs, I'm aware, but when I think about it we are all tactile, ever changing and malleable. Every one of us a product of our surroundings, of survival, to whatever end.

I go through phases of loving and hating who I am, what I am, what I look like and how I act. Currently, today, this minute, I like who I am. I like the anger that's made me into this person, I love that I was such a fool a year ago, because if I wasn't, I wouldn't be this, now. I've built, from the shit I was put through, a new base of what I like, what I'll put up with, the type of person I'll allow myself to love, and what I find utterly pathetic...

Things I've found I love in no particular order, thanks to the lessons I've learned this year: Crime novels, crime novels, more crime novels, contouring, honesty, radical lefties, building furniture, loyalty, variation, mushrooms.

Things I find pathetic in no particular order, thanks to the lessons I've learned this year: Fuckboys, whiners, people with no imagination, alt right losers, opinionated wankers, posers, two faced bitches, people who don't take responsibility for their actions, people who can't see their own flaws, cheaters, possessive people, shitty novels.

Be careful what pain you inflict on others, you may just end up making them better than you are.

So plans for this year, many sets headed your way, really varied stuff, lots of different locations from amazing versatile photographers. The first of which hits in three days. It was shot by @drawingfromusic and I'm hella excited for you all to see it.

In March I’m going with a friend to see Jonathan Pie. If you don’t know who he is then here’s a taster.

I’m then going to a protest in London (ironically looking at the video above) because frankly I don’t like that orange wotsit Hitler you guys have running the States and don't really want him influencing my country one iota. (PS don’t bother starting silly arguments on my blog, keyboard warriors, you’ll be sorely disappointed at the distinct lack of rise you get out of me.) That’s my opinion and that’s that.

It’s also my birthday in March. I’m dressing as a fox. Other people are dressing as other animals. Pictures to come and wishlist at the bottom of the blog. I’m not gonna tell you how old I am but it’s a big one.

I'm also (obviously) going to Download Festival in June, with the lovely @heartsmith @reaghan (I'll get her there if it kills me) @symmetra @konami_ @atari and hopefully @disco because I love her.

I went to Japan in December with @disco to see a friend who used to be on here but now for some reason I can’t find him. We had an absolutely amazing time.

Also I’ve unfollowed a lot of users who have been inactive for over six months, just so I can see who’s about more easily. If I’ve unfollowed you and you’ve returned to the site just shoot me a message.
