So since last year was a shambles of absolute ridiculousness I have been thinking long and hard about how to better myself and my life. Some of you are aware that I am starting a business as a photographer. I know I'm still not perfect but since I began taking pictures with a decent camera a year and a half ago I feel that I have progressed massively in this area and I want to just go nuts. Working for other people, in retail especially, left me feeling completely worthless, and I know that I am worth way more than that.
Last year I had a tonsillectomy that left me at 5 stone after a lot of complications post surgery. (That's 70lbs or 32kgs for those who don't know stone.) After several months of living off soup and not much else I was finally able to eat relatively normally again (although there are still things that I now absolutely despise the taste of) and I put weight back on. At 7 stone/98lbs/45kgs I felt completely happy with the way that I looked, which is when this picture was taken.
However, since then I have put on 28lbs and I am rather unhappy.
So as it is, my new years resolutions stand as such.
Begin the 5:2 diet. - I believe this is a really good way to lose weight without cutting out essential nutrients. I can eat what I like for 5 days, and then fast for 2, removing toxins and crap from my body.
Play more music. - I used to play 3 instruments, and I used to play them well. Music is therapy and therapy is good for the soul.
Smoke less. - I know I won't quit, I'm not ready to do that, but cutting down would be great.

Work hard to build my business.
All that aside, I have just returned from London. I am busy tonight or I would have attended the Blackheart Burlesque tour that is currently in London, but I did get to see the girls, attend the Geekology book signing, and party with them last night.
As usual, I loved seeing my British girls. @mikaul @felis @skye_ @disco @reuben @lucerne @aro and meeting the lovely @holley and @mel
Here are a couple of pictures. Some courtesy of others including @del and @sean
So there's that. I had an absolutely amazing time. Thank you SO MUCH to EVERYONE who attended. I hope the show today goes well.
In other news:
So make of that what you will. Happy new year and I'll try to blog again a tad sooner!
