I have been a model for SG for seven years this June. You're thinking "great, you've shot tonnes and tonnes of sets" yeah I have, but it's so much more than that.
When I first applied to be an SG there was no such thing as Hopefuls. You sent a set in to staff and they either approved or rejected it. Here's what I have left of the mostly lost set.
On my 20th birthday I received a phone call from staff telling me that my first set had been rejected, but asking me to come to LA to shoot with @sean and @missy. Of course my answer was a resounding "yes". Two months later my sets, "Pixiefied" and "Bathtub Blues" were born.
Being in LA was nerve racking for me, but Sean and Missy made me feel totally at ease. That said, I had absolutely no idea, at the time, of what I had just gotten myself into.
When I got back from LA it became clear that I needed to move out. I had been talking to loads of people on the site, and ended up staying with a friend from SG on the Isle of Man for a couple of months.
That's definitely one of the strangest places I've ever been. I didn't do much, out there. I was still talking, loads, to people on SG, more and more to a certain member. I decided to leave, and go back home. I met up with this certain member in London, and fell madly in love. He was from Pittsburgh, so we travelled there, and through the SG friends I made in London, I also ended up visiting NYC and CT.
And then I royally screwed it all up. I'm not going into how.
It's a relatively well known fact that I have Borderline Personality Disorder, and way back in 2008, un-medicated, I attempted suicide, posting a blog on here, dictating my actions. If not for the actions of an SG member and the SG staff, I would have succeeded. I was already mostly gone.
So SG saved my life.
I then travelled to so many other places, all through friends on SG. I fell in love, had my heart shattered into a billion pieces, picked it up again, got married, made friends, lost friends, shot a gazillion sets...
Because of SG, I have been to:
Australia:
Balboa Island:
Los Angeles: (with @bixton and @shanti)
Oceanside:
San Diego:
New Mexico:
Ohio:
Phoenix: (spent a lot of time here with @mrbubblewarp and as a by product, Hell City, with @essence, @annasthesia, @lolana, and @toxic)
Seattle:
Vancouver: (with @pokes)
And Portugal: (with @circa, @lylie, @dwam, and @viking)
Not only has SG saved my life, but it has also given me a better way of life. I've met 199 people from the site (though I'm certain I've forgotten to add a few to the list) and I know I will be meeting more soon. SG isn't just about absolutely stunning naked ladies, it's about integrity, trust, and building relationships that will last a very, very long time. I can't live without my laptop, because I know that on the other end of the internet are friends, a support system I can truly rely on. I've met so many amazing people, people who really go out of their way to do things for others, through SG.
Wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you for saving my life, and creating my new one, SG.
