In Quebec, finally.
The province is pretty much the same as all the other provinces so far, except with signs like
"Heureusement, Ici C'est le BLOC!"
And everyone speaks French. I've only been here three days now, but I got my job placement for the next three months already. I will be working at the Ameri-Indian cultural centre doing workshops and such to help work against racism and prejudice, as well as help make MAPLE SYRUP.
Yes, it's true. I will be making maple syrup from scratch. Rad.
We went to an Elections Canada centre yesterday to do special polling since we are outside our districts, and it went well enough since there were enough Bi-lingual people to help us Anglophones figure it out. I am voting NDP, but I really worry about this election. If you are a Canadian, and are somewhat interested in politics, you may fathom why.
I'm working on a scarf for this really cute girl I met somewhere. It's difficult because we are busy for most of the day, but I am trying to be as speedy as possible. I'm not sure what to include in the package for her; hints are always welcome.
Do you have "All-dressed" pizza where you live anyone? I sure as hell didn't, but it's huge in Quebec.
Oh yeah, we planned an excursion to Quebec city in three weeks to see Carnival, super excited. I'll probably get lame souveniers.
I don't think I know how to spell "Souvenier".
