Wow, I'm back. Who knew?

I spent the summer in Israel, and was doing volunteer security work as well as volunteer social services in Tzfat, in the north, during the recent Hezbollah war. Lots of rockets, every day, for weeks and me running to and fro' outside of shelter.

on the daily show yesterday dwight yoakum (sp??) said that he read a new york times article describing how, now that the dog genome project is well underway, it's been discovered that our closest genetic relatives are not apes as we had thought but rather dogs.

this explains why my chihuahua and i look so astoundingly similiar, including our unusually disproportionate endowments.

yesterday i attended the funeral for my aunt who died young from cancer. i'd like to reflect sagely on her life and all it meant to me, but it's sachrine overall and i doubt what any of those that may read this are interested in seeing. she was a hell of a lady, i will say that, and i'll miss her.
