Skipping work is sometimes good for the soul.
Today I stayed in most of the day after having a series of horrible dreams that lasted into the afternoon featuring, among other things, being forced into some strange paramilitary endeavor that involved colonializing portions of Africa and lots of friendly fire casualties (launched, of course, from the manufacturing center style basement of a posh hotel!) and getting my cousin in trouble for a crime I did wherein I stole a classic car and made a hell of a lot of a ruckus in a nature preserve with that and a German WWII era tank that I was fighting (from my classic stolen car)...what the fuck?
Don't even get me started on the one where I'm being accused of being a rapist while trapped in the labrynthine structures of a college dormitory I'm supposed to be vacating while it's being over run with the living dead...
*sigh*
But in other news I've started gathering prayers and handwriting them in the Siddur I'm trying to compose for myself in a nice simple leather bound journal. A siddur is a book of standard prayers and blessings for services, daily life, etc, used by Jews. Siddur literally means "order" as in "the order of recitation of prayers in various circumstances." I don't have a lot right now, just the Shema and then enough to get me through a personal morning set after waking but certainly not a weekday morning service. Ah well, like I say on the "title" page, "transliterated and IN PROGRESS" (emphasis added for this post.)
Holy moly, I'm in need of friends to read and comment on this. Maybe I'm simply not writing interesting enough shit to gather more people? Nah, who could resist reading about an alchoholic yid who can't loose an erection after he's been drinking, really??
