So here is my weekend in review...
not that you care, but its what I do...
On Friday I went to work and around 3 oclock was informed that my grandmother died early that morning. I've never really been affected by death and really don't see it as a bad thing at all. She had been diagnosed with cancer, had some heart problems that would have required surgery and has been miserable since my step grandpa died a few years ago. She was also pretty old and had lived a long life. We got to spend this last thanksgiving and christmas with her, and she got to see her new great grandson before she passed so all in all, i think it was the best time that it could have happened.
So anyway, Friday night I went and saw El Orfanato, even though my friends Micheal and Lori made us end up being 30 minutes late. But we didn't miss too much. It was really really good though. Then Micheal dropped Lori off and came over and hung out for awhile, which was nice. I always enjoy hanging out with him. He's really the only guy my age that I ever get to hang out with, and he's an intellectual so conversations with him are always good as well.
Saturday I decided I wanted to go adventure somewhere and found myself at the Rahr brewery around 1 oclock. I think this may become a new Saturday ritual for me as they serve free beer for 3 hours and there are a ton of people. So if anyone would like to join me next Saturday for 3 hours of free beer, then by all means let me know and we will go.
Then I went and talked to Robbo for a bit about this store/recording studio he wants to open. Generally I think it's a good idea, but I think he's going about it wrong, and I don't care for the location he's chosen. But I told him that I would still be interested in doing the advertising for him as that wouldn't really put me back any money wise, and he would pay me in recording time.
Then that night Morgon, Will, Dustin and some girl came over and we played Kings and then started watching run ronnie run and then they left. It was fun, but Kings is always fun with anyone.
And today so far I got up, went and bought 500 bucks worth of cymbals and boom arms and cymbal bags, then grilled some fish and shrimp, then met my parents at their new house and they showed me around. Then we came out to there house that I grew up in and we had pizza and watched over the hedge. And tomorrow it's even further west to bury my grandma.
How was your weekends peoples?
Oh and I'm serious about anyone wanting to hit up the brewery with me...
