I got firsts for both of my essays! Yay to the brainy me!!
(returns to shell of mock humility...)
you can find a link to one of them, and eventually the other, here. (the links will be on the left, under "essays".
on an aside, i must to work now; my wrist is still stopping me from playing capoeira; i'm meant to be attending a seminar tonight with my teacher's (sleazy & unpleasant) mestre, but don't know if i want to... (part of me, once again, wants to find another group with whom to train); and i had a dream about a friend of mine with whom i fell in love, though she was (and is) going out with another friend of ours. i never got in their way, or told her, but in my dream we were together and it was wonderful. today i got an email from her, and she is still in love with her bf. but is still an incredible friend...
& i watched "closer" - which, julia roberts aside, was far better than i expected. it was like a kundera story, without all the intellectual asides. same analysis, same honesty, similar morals, with plenty of memorable lines. definitely one to purchase on dvd when it's out. half expected it to say at the end:
based on the novel _______ by Milan Kundera
but it didn't.
question for the day:
hair-cut or nipple-piercing?
need versus desire (well, kind of). what say you?

I'm still debating whether or not to see closer..there are about ten other films before I put myself through Julia Roberts.
Nipples hurt like a bitch. Hair cuts don't hurt but their not nearly as fun to get done.
I'm trying to decide whether I should go blonde...I think I'll just stick with dark as the night.
awake and all.
congrats on the essays. Good work!
